The Parc de Marquenterre is a preserved nature reserve boasting 640-acres of dunes, forests and marshlands, a mecca for migrator birds crossing the continents from Europe to Africa and boasting an extremely diverse fauna and flora.
Small wooden chalets are located along the footpaths from which you can observe in their wild environment the herons, swans, tits, grebes, blackbirds, smews, avocets etc... without disturbing them.
The park is also home to a number of well-bred horses, Henson horses, which are renowned for their endurance and calm nature.
Treat yourself to a ride in a horse-drawn carriage or mount a horse and set off to explore this outstanding natural site.
