Château de Rambrures

Château de Rambures is a fortified castle and a masterpiece of medieval military architecture.

 

This 15th century fort was built during the One Hundred Year War by David de Rambures, a French crossbowman master, the highest military distinction at the time.

With a guide, you can visit inside the fort and discover a neo-classic dining room, Picardy furniture from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries...
The king's bedroom was frequently used by Henry IV.

 
Château de Rambures is surrounded by a magnificent English landscaped garden comprising ancient trees such as the giant Sequoia, over two hundred years old transported from America in 1787.
